Mannville, situated in eastern Alberta and western Saskatchewan, represents a traditional Canadian heavy oil play with a long-established resource and production history. In its historical development, vertical and single-leg horizontal drilling methods were the norm. However, the transition to multi-lateral horizontal wells has created better well economics, fuelling a surge in regional activity and attracting heightened interest in this promising oil play.
Our Story
At PointBreak Resources, we bring a legacy of success and unwavering commitment to delivering value. Our seasoned management team boasts a remarkable track record of developing conventional oil assets across the top Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) plays, consistently maximizing value for our shareholders. We've made bold moves, acquiring 118,195 gross acres of prime land and ~1,400 boe/d production in the Alberta heavy oil fairway, a move underpinned by the potential for significant growth. With multiple stacked Mannville target horizons, our prospects are promising.
